Coleman OpenVpn Procedure
Ways to get files:
(Right click, Save As to Desktop)
Installation Procedure:
1. Download the following files to your desktop:
a. colemanvpn.zip
b. openvpn-2.1_rc14-install.exe or openvpn-2.1_rc15-install.exe (Windows Vista)
2. Go to your desktop and double click on the following file:
a. Openvpn-2.1_rc14-install.exe or openvpn-2.1_rc15-install.exe
3. At the Welcome window click Next.
4. Click I Agree on the License Agreement screen.
5. Accept all defaults on the Choose Components screen and click Next.
6. Accept default Install Location and click Install.
7. If you receive a “Hardware Installation” warning window click “Continue Anyway”
a. VISTA- Click “Install” when it asks “Would you like to install this device software”
8. Click Next when Installation is Complete.
9. Uncheck Show README and click Finish.
10. Now Double Click and Extract the “colemanvpn.zip” file to a folder on your desktop.
11. Go to Start, All Programs, OpenVPN, Shortcuts, OpenVPN configuration file directory.
12. Copy and paste the “cacert.pem” and “Waukegan-gw-ovpn” files you extracted to your desktop into the c:\Program Files\OpenVPN\config directory.
13. Go to your Desktop and double click the “OpenVPN GUI” shortcut.
(NOTE: You can copy the “OpenVPN GUI” shortcut to the users Startup folder so that it loads on boot)
14. At this point you will see the “OpenVPN GUI” icon appear on the Task Bar near the system clock on the bottom right of your screen.
15. Right click the “Open GUI” icon in your Task Bar and click “Connect”
16. When prompted for your logon, use your Coleman userID and Password and click OK.
17. To disconnect the client, right click the “OpenVPN GUI” icon again and click “Disconnect”
